Pam Percival has worked in executive roles within the insurance industry for 40 years. But it was a series of personal losses that sealed her appreciation for the business she loves. "When I lost my husband and parents 10 years ago," explains Pam, who is senior vice president at American Classic Agency (ACA), "the life insurance and long-term care insurance planning we had done saved me financially."
Pam's story of financial stewardship fuels her commitment to giving underserved individuals and families access to the same income protection tools that kept her financially whole. And she knows that access hinges on ACA's dedication to building a diverse family of independent life insurance professionals that reflects its niche market: Middle America.
"ACA has a record of success recruiting and promoting professionals from all backgrounds including recent graduates, corporate executives, government employees, teachers, healthcare professionals, military veterans, and parents re-entering the workforce," she says. "We are especially proud to celebrate ACA's fast-growing roster of female sales leaders who are helping their clients create wealth, while simultaneously building financial legacies for their own families."
Pam experienced the ultimate act of legacy building in 2018, when ACA’s founder tapped her and three colleagues to take over the organization. The transfer of ownership makes ACA the largest female- and African-American-owned independent marketing organization in the life insurance industry.
