Lyna Nyamwaya

Lyna is a registered nurse with 15+ years of experience, a tireless mentor and career adviser, and a highly sought-after keynote speaker known for delivering engaging, culturally grounded presentations that educate and empower. She is the Founder and President of the African Nurses Network Inc., serves as an administrative manager in a Level 1 trauma hospital, and is the CEO of Bold Impact Group.

Lyna believes sharing knowledge is one of the most powerful ways to create lasting impact. She earned her BSc. in Nursing from Metropolitan State University (Outstanding Student of the Year, 2009), holds an associate degree from North Hennepin Community College (Phi Theta Kappa), completed a nursing diploma at Rock Valley College, and is pursuing graduate studies. She also holds a Mini MBA from St. Thomas University in Minneapolis and has served on multiple committees and boards while organizing public health forums.

Her honors include the 2017 National Role Model Award (Minority Access Inc., Washington, D.C.), 2017 Non-Profit Leadership of the Year (Voices Magazine Awards, Minnesota), and the 2019 Distinguished Alumni Award from North Hennepin Community College. Born and raised in Kenya, Lyna lives in New Hope, Minnesota with her husband and two daughters. She is also an author of Leading with Cultural Humility, an MDRT member, and an ACA Classic Club Ring recipient with two diamonds.
